I'm Shalini and I understand the struggle many women face as they relate to health and wellness. 

The wellness world can feel overwhelming and confusing, whether it's body image, relationship with food, or difficulty finding consistency in exercise. 

My struggle started early with a torn ACL and 5 more to follow. Reconstruction after reconstruction, I felt discouraged, worn down and exhausted from the rat race of trying to be at my best - physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally.

I went on to adopt unhealthy eating habits with a "less is more" mentality. For me, exercise consisted of lots of miles on the treadmill and elliptical and very little else. I wondered why I felt constantly fatigued, hungry, and stuck in a body I didn't love.

Finally, I’d hit my breaking point - I was fed up, hopeless, and still discouraged. I knew in my heart of hearts that I couldn’t manage the journey on my own anymore.

It wasn't until I invited Jesus into it all and started actually learning about exercise and nutrition that sustainable change began.

Since that pivotal choice to let Him take the lead, I went on to lose 20lbs and grew to love myself every step of the way. I began to view food as fuel and nourishment - as something to celebrate instead of remain afraid of. I fell in love with weight training and began to realize the parallels that existed between the virtue we learn through exercise and the virtue we can then take and apply in our day to day lives: consistency, discipline, follow-through, commitment. I fell in love with pushing myself not as a form of punishment, but because I believed that I could do hard things. And THAT distinction was everything to me - it still is.

Over the years, I’ve also walked the hard roads of an Endometriosis diagnosis, secondary infertility, and a wrecked digestive tract with over 25 food sensitivities.

Healing has been my story, and I truly believe there is hope for you, too.
